Founded in 2017, the Dropbox Foundation focuses on supporting human rights nonprofits around the world by providing grant funding and skills-based volunteering over a three-year partnership.
This year, we’re excited to introduce the Dropbox Foundation’s two newest partners: Tech to the Rescue and Helen Bamber Foundation Group.
Tech to the Rescue, based in Poland, helps nonprofits access the technology and digital infrastructure they need to scale their impact by building platforms, strengthening cybersecurity, improving data systems, or developing digital tools that support their missions. By mobilizing the tech sector to contribute skills and resources, the organization enables nonprofits around the world to operate more effectively and reach more people in need.
As part of our partnership, we’re excited to explore opportunities for Dropbox employees to contribute their expertise through skills-based volunteering projects that help strengthen nonprofits’ digital capabilities and expand their reach.
“Partnering with the Dropbox Foundation is an incredible opportunity to deepen the collaboration between the tech sector and nonprofits working on the world’s most urgent challenges. AI is the biggest shift in what's possible for nonprofits in a generation. Together, we can empower organizations with the digital tools and expertise they need to increase their impact and drive meaningful change.” — Jacek Siadkowski, CEO, Tech to the Rescue
Helen Bamber Foundation Group works to support survivors of trafficking and cruelty. Based in the UK, the organization provides specialized, long-term care to individuals who have experienced severe human rights abuses, helping them rebuild their lives and regain independence.
The nonprofit delivers an integrated model of care that includes medical and psychological treatment, legal protection, housing support, welfare assistance, and creative and community-based therapies. Many recipients of support are refugees and asylum seekers who have experienced profound trauma and face significant barriers to safety, stability, and justice.
Through advocacy, research, and survivor-centered services, they also work to influence policy and improve protection systems for survivors of trafficking and torture.
“The Dropbox Foundation's partnership will be transformational for the Helen Bamber Foundation Group. As the human rights of survivors of trafficking continue to be eroded, we must increase our care to meet the growing need. We know that with the right support, survivors can recover. Thanks to your support, we will be able to change the lives of more people than ever before.” - Alison Pickup, CEO, Helen Bamber Foundation Group
